In the Soviet times, official authorities didn't recognize Boris Grebenshikov's creative work and the musicians of "Aquarium" group had to exist in desolate underground. At that time so-called "flat concerts" appeared, which were holding in cramped flats of friends, which were cram-full with Petersburg's freethinking youth. These concerts were being recorded on the bobbin tapes and were spreading all over the country. By the middle of eighties Boris Grebenshikov's name or BG, rose to cult. The creativity of "Aquarium" group builds up the consciousness of entire generations. Boris Grebenshikov's creative work can be compared with creative work of Bob Dylan. Many musicologists know him as Bob Dylan of Russia.
The group "Aquarium" is still at the top of their success. The musicians tour not only about Russia, but they pack out halls and stadiums in many European and American cities.
